Wedding

If you had told me ago that I would be married again I would have told you to go jump in a lake. But on Tuesday November 30, 2010 my sweetheart David Nicholas Carroll asked me to marry him. We set a date of February 25th, 2011. Then started our paper work to get temple sealing cancelation and clearance. Nick left on Monday December 13th, 2010 with his daughter, Katie, and her family back to Wisconsin to start getting his Law Practice going. While Nick was away I spent time getting things together for the wedding and the move. Beggining of February we realized that the temple cancelation and clearance were not going to come through in time for us to be married at the end of the month. Feelings of frustration set in but then came the feeling of peace and contentment that it would be better for us to go ahead with our plans to be married on the 25th of February before we moved me out to Wisconsin. So plans went ahead and many of my friends got involved with the plans. So with everyones help we had a very simple ceremony in which I married my eternal best friend. We are looking forward to the day when we will sealed together in the temple. We have tought alot about this and are looking at making sure that are paper work is back in and taken care of by the summer of 2012. This way those that would like to be with us and will be traveling will have good weather and road conditions.

I have been very lucky to have such wonderful and awesome friends that helped me with the planning and gave us a wonderful open house in Idaho Falls. I have added some the pictures from our special day!

Second Snow of the Season

This is the second snow fall of the season. This much fell in 2 hours. But in the last 30 minutes it has been HUGE flakes. They are about 2 1/2 to 3 inch flakes. Not seen those size ever. So I thought I would take a picture and share cause I love the snow.

Second weekend in Utah

Our second weekend in Utah we spent time with both Ryan and Ashlee. At Ashlee's suggestion we went to Temple Square to see the 8' open replica of the Salt Lake Temple. It was amazing to see how exact the details are, down to the chairs and art work on the walls. Then we made a trip to the Hogle Zoo. Who knew that you can have as much fun with adult kids and small kids at the zoo. Here are a few pictures.

In this picture is the oldest elephant in North America and Nick. They both celebrate their 50th birthday this month. Nick's June 17th and the elephant June 26th. Just had to take this shot. As the zoo attendant said Nick is older than all of the elephants in North America.

This is actually only one turtle. I thought it was really cool.

The baby elephant is 10 months old and was really playful. We really enjoyed watching him. The zoo keeper sprayed him with water and just after she put the hose away he went and rolled in the mud puddle. Reminded us of how kids are just after they have been cleaned up.

Visit with Ryan and Ashlee

Over Memorial Day weekend Ryan was able to come to Utah and spend sometime. Memorial Day weekend and the following weekend he spent his time with me. He also had the opportunity to met Nick. The first weekend we took some hikes. Our first one was Sunday evening to Antelope Island. Then Monday we went into Little Cottonwood Canyon and did two little hikes. One was the Sandy City trail which led to a small reservoir. Then we went to show Nick the Temple Quarry. The Temple Quarry is where there extracted the granite for the Salt Lake Temple. Here are a few of the pictures that Nick took on this first weekend.
